EFFECTIVE [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Bidwards is run by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS]. The short version: we hold what you tell us so we can do the job, and we do not hand your identity to businesses unless you say so, each time.
What we collect
- What you asked for. The text of your request, and what we parsed from it — trade, area, timing, budget.
- How to reach you. Your phone number if you text us. Your email only if you give it.
- What you did with the results. Which matches you opened, saved, rejected or contacted.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not give businesses your name, number, email or address unless you approve that specific disclosure, to that specific business.
- We do not build a health profile. Requests in sensitive categories are blocked from producing learned preferences — enforced in the database, not by policy alone.
- We do not use one relationship to inform another. Each business gets a separate identifier for you, and they cannot work out you are the same person.
What a business sees
By default, a de-identified summary: the service area, the kind of job, and the timing. Not your name, exact address, contact details, or anything else you have searched for.
When you ask a business for a price, we show you a sheet listing exactly which fields will be shared and which will be withheld, before anything is sent. You approve it, or you do not.
Keeping a record
Every disclosure writes an audit receipt: what was accessed, what was shared, with whom, under which approval, and when. You can ask us for yours.
Your choices
- See it. Ask for a copy of what we hold.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete it. We remove your identity and contact details. Audit receipts are anonymised rather than destroyed, so the record of what was disclosed survives without pointing at you.
- Revoke. Withdraw a disclosure at any time. That stops future contact through us; it cannot unsend what a business already received.
- Stop messages. Reply STOP. See SMS terms.
Write to [hello@bidwards.com] for any of these.
How long we keep things
Requests and results expire on their own. Audit receipts are kept longer, because the point of a receipt is that it outlives the thing it records.
Who else is involved
We use service providers to run the product — hosting, databases, and message delivery. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Business listings come from publicly available data, including the Overture Maps open dataset. Those are records about businesses, not about you.
Children
Bidwards is not for under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this, we update the date above. Material changes get a notice before they take effect.
